Because she’s an alcoholic and an addict, or at least that’s how people are painting her as.
On May 24th, a video was posted online, where Jenna Ortega was seen having lunch with a friend in Notting Hill, West London. In it, she is seen drinking wine and smoking cigarettes.
To say that people were mad at this is an understatement. The video got well over 30 million views on social media in just a few days and, though many defended her, the hate and disappointment spewed towards her got way out of hand.
They bashed her for drinking while being under 21 (despite the drinking age in the U.K. being 18) and they were shocked and disgusted by the fact that she smokes.
Imagine having so much time to waste that you attack someone you don’t know, and probably never will, for doing something normal and accepted in society. I can only imagine if she’s ever seen smoking weed or drinking something stronger than wine, you know, punishable crimes according to these people…
