She made the mistake that so many actresses make in Hollywood: she got older.
And I don’t mean “mistake” in the literal sense. But it is just an example of how the movie industry is extremely ageist against women in particular. She recently even said, “‘I was warned my career would fall off a cliff at 35.”
But she still gets roles, they just aren’t blockbuster leading actress parts. The fact remains that the industry is very superficial, and Hollywood is packed to the brim with beautiful young women who can act. It seemingly takes the stars aligning to be a woman and land key roles into your 40s, 50s, and beyond. Obviously men are held to different standard, which isn’t fair, but is still the reality.
Regardless of all that, she’ll be OK even if she doesn’t land another monster role in a movie. And she seems to be in good spirits about her life. She’s still incredibly beautiful.
