Kevin Spacey isn’t the most beloved man in Hollywood.
But it wasn’t always this way, in 2017, he was getting serious Oscar Buzz for his soon to be released performance in Ridley Scott’s All The Money in the World.
Then a pretty obscure news story dropped.
Actor Anthony Rapp: Kevin Spacey Made A Sexual Advance Toward Me When I Was 14
The Star Trek: Discovery actor says women speaking out about sexual misconduct in the entertainment industry has compelled him to come forward about the Oscar winner.
Ridley Scott knew that nobody would see the film starring the pedophile, his dreams of Oscar glory seemed dead in the water. Then he remembered that he was Ridley Scott, he wasn’t about to let a project die or delay.
Reshoots began with Christopher Plummer recast in Spacey’s role on November 20th, almost exactly one month before the films release.
That’s right. In one month Ridley Scott planned out, shot, and edited about 30 minutes of complicated footage.
He only had two weeks to get all the extras, locations, and other major actors ready for an emergency reshoot.
The film made its originally planned release date.
