She rose to stardom in She’s All That (1999),
The film was nothing special, but it won her plenty of Teen awards and Hollywood recognition. She followed it up with Get Carter
and Josie and the Pussycats
After this though, her lead actress career never really took off. She chose not to make the jump to Hollywood “Hottie” though she has been acting consistently to this day. She opted instead to foster a more wholesole image and has made a successful career acting in and producing many Hallmark movies. She also has a considerable resume of voice acting supporting characters for television, movies and video games. Personally I enjoy her work on Robot Chicken.
